Process:

Corporate video production can be a intense and efficient process because of tight timelines.

HotHouse Creative was provided the opportunity to take a pre-written script and develop a storyboard to show employees executing health and safety-related duties on the job. As this is a very important company priority, not only for the concern of much-cared for employees, but also a business objective that effects the company’s bottom line, great care had to be taken to make sure the protocols of health and safety were filmed with integrity. Our script and ideas were discussed before proceeding so that there were no surprises or unrealized expectations.

We filmed the interview with the President and CEO on a Wednesday and were to shoot the on-site footage the next day. During the executive interview we had been served a massive snowstorm and our shoot for Thursday was cancelled. Given that this video was to be seen 8 days later, we quickly scheduled two shooting days in Tampa, Florida. After an intense 26-hours of filming in Tampa, we edited the next day and provided the client with a first draft of the 4-minute production. Voice over and logo animations had been previously scheduled, modified and approved, and delivered that day to make the editing process possible.

We ended up tightening the clips and the voiceover and removing some superfluous text and animations for the second and approved draft. “Overwhelming positive response to the video!” was my feedback.
